Return and Exchange Policy
We accept items for return or exchange under the following conditions: You need to email us first for an authorization number and instructions within 14 days of receiving your watch. Any item returned without an RA number on the outside of the package will be refused. RA numbers are good only for 14 days. Items sent back with RA numbers past that timeframe will be refused.
All items sent back for return or exchange MUST be unworn, with ALL the original packaging, tags and protective plastic still attached. This includes the plastic disc on the face of the watch and back of the case and plastic wrap on watch bracelets. Bands cannot have been sized or altered in any way.
If a watch shows any signs of wear or doesn't meet these requirements, it will be sent back to you. The next customer also wants a new watch, just like the one you received.
The product MUST be in the same condition as when sent to you, or it cannot be returned for refund or exchange, and there are no exceptions. We inspect all items closely upon return, so please, if you think you may want to return your watch, don't wear it at all. It is very difficult to wear a watch even for a short time without scuffing or scratching it, and then the watch simply will be sent back to you with no credit given. We are very strict about these policies, as we don't sell used or refurbished items.
PLEASE TAKE CARE when packing your return. Factory packaging is there to protect your watch. Please take the same care in returning the watch to us as we do in sending it to you, to avoid damage in shipment and refusal of your return.
Special-order items are not returnable.
For an exchange, you will be charged only the cost of shipping the replacement to you. For a return, we will refund the purchase price minus a 15% restocking fee, up to a maximum of $25. Express shipping is not refundable. The restocking fee also applies to refused, unclaimed and undeliverable items. If we accept a return without prior authorization and an RA number is not written on your package, the restocking charge is $25.
If you order a watch that comes with a gift certificate and you return the watch, the gift certificate also must be returned or your refund will be less that amount.
Sorry, but we are unable to offer any gift services.
Price match: We will match prices of other authorized dealers on all brands (except Invicta in some cases because of its unique distribution). The price must be verifiable, and the product must be in stock and available exactly as you would order from us - i.e., same color dial, same features, etc. Please send a link with your request so that we can view the item to verify the price you are requesting. We don't match prices found on auction sites, since we have no way of even knowing if the product is authentic. For more details, please email us.
Warranty Work: In the unlikely event that there is a mechanical problem with your watch after you have worn it, you must use your warranty to have it repaired. We do not replace or refund for worn items. Warranties typically do not cover crystals, batteries and straps. For more detailed information, consult the warranty booklet that came with your watch, or email us.
Why do we charge a restocking fee? We research the market price of every single item before we post our watches. When you buy from us, you are getting a great price. And, we ship every single item for free, unless you need Express delivery. So when you buy from us, you get a better deal right off the bat, and you pay no shipping. If you want to return your watch, we need to recover our shipping and other related costs. When you buy from other dealers, you likely will pay more upfront for your item, plus as much as $15 shipping for one watch. Most of our competitors also charge a restocking fee, and the ones who don't will refund your money - less the shipping you already paid. So, you paid more upfront for your watch, and the shipping is not refundable. If you keep what you buy, you get a better deal shopping with us.
Shipping is included on all items for delivery in the United States. Delivery usually takes 2-3 business days once the order is shipped, and we ship every day. We use Priority Mail for most items, but we occasionally use UPS as well, which may take an extra few days. PLEASE NOTE that there is NO tracking number for Priority Mail service, which is what we usually use. Priority mail is much faster than UPS. You will have your order in 2-3 days, vs. a week if we sent it with UPS. Sorry, but we do not ship to APOs.
Express service is available for an extra charge and takes 1-2 days for delivery, once the order is shipped. Express Mail packages are even delivered on Sundays in many areas and will require a signature. We are unable to offer shipping through other carriers. We are not responsible for late deliveries on the part of the Postal Service or UPS, and we will not refund shipping charges, even for Express service, unless the mistake was ours and we failed to ship as directed.
Please keep in mind that during busy holiday periods, delivery may take extra time, and we cannot be responsible for or refund for late deliveries. When you buy from us, you will get the fastest order turnaround time on the Internet, but please, we aren't genies. If you needed the watch yesterday, it will not get to you in time.
Receipts and invoices: Great Timing is an eco-friendly company. We believe in doing our part to save trees and the environment and to reduce paper waste. Thus, there will be no paper invoice in your package. You will receive a receipt via email when you place your order. If you want a paper copy, you may wish to print the email.
Spam Filter Advisory: Earthlink and some other ISP's (Internet Service Providers) require senders to register before they will accept "unsolicited" emails. Our order confirmation emails are automatically generated when you place an order and we receive an auto-response from you requesting that we register via a web form. We are not able to accommodate these requests and our emails will therefore not get through. Before you place your order, please add us to your contact list, or do whatever will be required to enable the acceptance of our email communications so that we may provide proper customer service. We will keep you informed on your order status, but hey, you gotta accept the mail.
If you don't get an order or shipping confirmation, please, check your spam folder. The email most likely is there. We send a shipping confirmation for every order.
For international shipping, please email us for a quote. We cannot ship any Skagens outside North America, per our vendor contract, and we cannot ship any Citizen watches outside the United States. Duty/customs fees are borne by the customer.
